We have had some great Euchre Tournaments and they will continue into the New Year. The Trustees Appreciation Party is on December 17th.All members are invited, come on in and enjoy a great food and entertainment.. The Trustees ’would like to thank you for your support all year long. The New Years Eve party this year will be come as you are and bring a dish to pass if you like. We will have entertainment.

As the year winds down I would like to thank all of the helpers and volunteers who have helped in any way in the past year. From dinners to construction to golf outings and many other activities, we could not do it without your help. You are what makes our Aerie strong and I Thank You.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New from our family to yours.

Please remember our troops who will be away from home this holiday season in your prayers.

Aerie Chaplain’s Report
Sympathy cards were sent to Grover & Betty Ankney and to the family of Leo Ankney who passed away in October, James Meadows who lost his mother-in-law and John Hansen who lost his brother. Get well cards were sent to Jim Bunker of Beaverton and Richard Mirowski who had surgery.

With most of our snowbirds flown, we now head into the Christmas and New Year’s holidays. During this time of celebration with family and friends please let our #1 priority be the safety of all. And let’s not forget to keep our U.S. Armed Forces scattered around the world in our thoughts and prayers.

Auxiliary Members Info........
Are you aware that upon the death of an active member, that being - your dues are paid for the current year, our Auxiliary and, for Benefit members, the Grand Aerie, has several ways of recognizing you as a sister in the Eagle organization?

FYI - The passing of both “Benefit” and “Non-Benefit” members is acknowledged at our Aerie. The notice of passing is placed on the charter in the social room; the charter is draped; the Auxiliary performs a memorial service at the next scheduled meeting to recognize the sister’s passing and the members name is memorialized forever by placing the name on our Memorial Plaque which honors all deceased members.

Are you a “Benefit” or a “Non-Benefit” member? If you’re not sure, take a look at your current dues card. If it states “Benefit” you are also eligible for the Grand Aerie Auxiliary Funeral Benefit. This means your heirs are eligible to receive $200 from the Grand Aerie to offset funeral expenses.

Benefit or Non-Benefit, I suggest you save this article with your important papers so the Auxiliary can appropriately honor you as an Eagle member by having your family advise the Auxiliary Secretary at 989-426-3454 immediately on your passing.

Auxiliary Secretary

Thank You
Thank you everyone who worked, baked and supported the Wing Ding Dinner. Although we didn’t have a big turnout, we were able to make a donation to Special Olympics.

From the Board of Trustees

It was and still is the intent of the Board of Trustees to make this Aerie more enjoyable for all of the members of this Aerie. Your idea's and suggestion’s in support of these goals would be most welcome. However the selfish, inconsiderate and vulgar comments that have been made are uncalled for. There are over 1000 members in this Aerie and it will not be dictated to by a select few who think they are more important than the rest. In the future if you have comments bring them to the meeting’s or run for office and help make this Aerie better.
