Dianne PigulaAuxiliary Chaplain Charity Auction Dear Brothers and Sisters, There are no words in our vocabulary to express sufficiently our gratitude for the success of the auction held November 27th. The hours given by the volunteers, the warm atmosphere of the Aerie, the attractive and useful items offered, the skillful conduct of the sale by the auctioneer, the free advertising, all contributed to the bidding by an enthusiastic audience. Our “People Helping People” motto resulted in a great sale with proceeds going to the St. Louis Center in Cheslea, Michigan, which houses and cares for the mentally handicapped aged 4 to 40. Many thank to those who participated and donated. Evelyn Norton and Elaine St. Louis To all my fellow Eagles I would like to thank you for all your help and support. We have made two families and several Nursing Home Residents very happy. Our Christmas Tree was a huge success. When I see tears of joy on someone’s face that we have helped, it brings it all home, because to me that is what the Eagles is all about. Please remember we have adopted them all for a year. Our Texas Holdem was also a success thanks to all who helped, and congratulations to Ralph Day who won. Thanks to Dave Huggard for running it. Let us all remember as so many of us already have the Eagles was founded on PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE.
