I hope everyone had a safe Holiday season. Well the New Year is here and we a gearing up for some activities this winter.
This is a 2 month newsletter so watch your calendar for all the up coming events. Euchre Tournaments January 20th and February 17th,Wing Ding Dinner January 21st,Valentines party on February 11th,Camel race and Steak Fry February 25th,and Texas Hold’em on March 4th.Come on down and join the fun.
We will be needing a new roof on our building in the coming year. We will be having several functions throughout the year to raise funds for it. Please come and show your support.
Please remember our troops in your prayers that they come home safe and sound.

Aerie Chaplain’s Report
Get well cards were sent to Duane Chartier in early December after some surgery, John Abels, and Frank Alley who had back surgery in Mid-December.
All the officers of the Aerie and Auxiliary wish a Most Merry Christmas and a Safe and Happy New Year to all our members. We are looking forward to seeing all of you in 2006.

Euchre Tournaments
We will be having Euchre Tournaments on Friday January 20th and Friday February 17th. Come on down and join the fun.

We will be having a Wing Ding dinner on Saturday January 21st from 5 till 8 with entertainment to follow. Price is $7.00 all you can eat.

By Laws
We are opening our by laws to make changes. Any and all members are welcome to submit suggestions for changes in the by laws. They must be written out and signed by three active members and put in the suggestion box no later than January 27th. First reading for proposed changes will be at the January 28th Meeting.

Steak Fry
We will be having a Steak Fry on Saturday February 25th from 5 till 8 before the Camel Races.
CAMEL RACES – FEBRUARY 25TH
The CAMEL’S are COMING!!! Yes, that’s right. The camels will be racing at Secord Lake Eagles on February 25th at 7:00 P.M.. However, due to the weather, they will be racing inside. Rule Number 1 is to have FUN. Camels race 6 at a time to the toss of the dice (which will be done by our very own Harem Girls). First camel to cross the finish line wins. Bet on your favorite camel at the betting stations before each race. Odds will be computed on each camel before the start of the race. There will be loser drawings at the end of each race. So follow Rule Number 1 and enjoy the night. You will also be asked to VOTE for the Best Decorated Camel. Mark February 25th on your calendar and help us get through the winter blues and support our aerie with a night of FUN, FUN, FUN.

It is only right that I express my personal appreciation for the helping hands at the November 26th Auction. My fraternal brothers who pitched in at the set-up as usual but most importantly they save the day by packing up the left-overs and putting them into the Auctioneer’s van. Happy New Year! Congratulations to the winners of the November Euchre tournament, 1st place was Bob & Jesse, 2nd Jennie & Jamie and 3rd Dave & Donny. The next euchre tournament will be Friday, January 20th.
The Michigan State Auxiliary Bowling tournament will be hosted by Gaylord, March 18th thru April 30th, applications are available at the club.
The auction raised $632.00 for the St Louis Center. Thank you to all the volunteers and especially to the shoppers.
Santa paid us a visit on December 17. I would like to thank NutC and Deb Stover for their help with the kids Christmas party. It was fun.

We have had a very busy month. I hope everyone had a Merry and Blessed Christmas.
We sent Thinking of you cards to Patty Slusher, Elaine Stanbaugh, Debbie Stover, Karen Hourtienne, Mary Lou Harris, Alice Beck, Mary Wilfong, Laura Hansen, Pat Wujcik, Sally Mirowski, Penny Griffith, Vickey Roulo, Nora Dean, Virginia Hoffman, Virginia Bartlett, Marge Songer and Naomi Fagg.
Sympathy cards were sent to Vivian Verrans whose mom died, The Stover Family on the passing of Darryl’s mom, to Karen Hourtienne whose sister died and to Betty Brunette.

April Casino Trip
Anyone interested in going to the Casino in April? Mark your calendars for the 6th and 7th of April, Thursday and Friday, for the same type of trip that we go on in September. (Yes the September Trip is still going) We need to know if you are interested in going. If so please call Leona and Dave at 246-0560 to sign up. We only have one possibly two buses to fill. Women’s Raffle 2005
Great Work all the tickets sold. The drawing took place at the Trustees Christmas Party December 17th. It was a big turnout with lots of food and drink.
First of all, thanks to all who bought tickets and everyone who donated to the basket of cheer. Thanks to everyone who sold tickets. Our winners were, 1st Prize Jim Munro, $250, 2nd Prize Dennis Eckert, $100 and 3rd Prize Elaine St. Louis, Basket of Cheer.
