The Worthy Prez sez….
Well, the weather is about to break and Spring will be here before you know it. It won’t be much longer before we start welcoming back our snowbirds to Secord Lake.
The Fun Run held March 1, was quite successful. Thanks to all who were involved, the volunteers, and the local establishments for their participation and contributions. There was also a great turnout for the first ever Wii bowling tournament on March 8th. Thanks to Jim & Norene Cooper along with those who supplied the games & big screens.
The St. Patrick’s Day party had an excellent turnout and everyone who attended had a great time. Thanks again to Mary Grayson and her crew, as well as the kitchen crew for all of their efforts.
Our fish fry’s are held the 2nd & 4th Fridays each month. Come on down and enjoy! The next monthly euchre tournament will be Friday, April 18th. Our Camel Races return on Saturday, April 19th. Please remember to check out the calendar, outdoor signs and table tents for dates and times of all of our upcoming events.
Our Aerie meetings are held on the 2nd & 4th Saturday’s beginning at 9:30 a.m., and I hope to see you there.

Ladies Golf Outing
I’m sending out the applications for the 4th annual Secord Eagles Ladies golf outing. It will be held on June 14th at Pine River Golf Course in Standish. If you do not receive an application in the mail or know someone that would like one please call me @ (989) 246-1345. I am making room for more teams this year so it is very important to get your applications and money to me ASAP. The deadline is May 15th.
Thanks to all of you, the outing raised $600 for Make-A-Wish. Also, thanks to the Men’s Golf Outing for donating an additional $200. This year we have chosen “I Care” as our charity. The money we raise will help people in our community.
Thanks to everyone, Emra Blakely

The Madam Prez sez…
With summer just around the corner, our snowbirds will soon be home and with them, lots of summer fun and activities. As the snow melts with each passing day we can say goodbye to snow fun and hello to sunshiny water fun with warm sunny days lounging on your boats, fishing, cookouts, and enjoying the sounds of laughter and music at the club. Pontoon Parade close to the 4th of July, we are in the works of trying to put together a cookout for all that weekend. On May 25th from 4-8, Deb Ketcherside will chair a Steak Fry and since the Aerie usually has a Vegas Night on that weekend, Memorial Weekend, come open your cabins and have fun and food with us. If we can talk the Aerie President into it again we might have a “Tape the Presidents to the Wall”. Keep watching your calendar for lots of fun.
We were so sorry to see so few children at the Kid’s Easter Party that Diane and Kim worked so hard on, but don’t forget next year that your little ones do so love to meet the Easter Bunny. The Wii bowling tournament was a huge success and hopefully there will be more of these events. It’s pasty time again. Help us support our children – proceeds to Senior scholarships. April 19th, another Camel Race. Always a lot of fun. Hope to see you soon snowbirds because your return means SUMMER!
