The Worthy Prez sez….
As we wrap another year here at Secord Lake # 4121, a reflection on the last year’s high’s and low’s always seems in order. The one constant that always comes to mind for me is that our Club runs on the backs of our many individual volunteers. You can not be thanked enough for your time consuming contribution to our Club.
Next year brings many new challenges. Over the winter we will be finalizing plans to repair the seawall. We will also be exploring a more reliable sound system; its deficiency was obvious during resent Memorial services. If anyone has ideas for fundraising projects please bring them to your next respective Aerie or Auxiliary meeting. We have been trying diligently to keep the web page and calendar as updated and timely as possible, to that end I would like to thank our behind the seen Web Master Dwight Dennings for an outstanding job.
Please have a safe Holiday Season, see ya next year.

Fraternally,
Worthy President
Pat Halloran

 The Madam Prez sez…
Holiday Greetings to All,
November was a busy month, with our annual Harvest Dinner, Bake Sale, Pastie Dinner, and 50's & 60’s dance tribute.  I truly want to thank all of you who volunteer your time, cooking skills, and gift making abilities, to help out our Auxiliary.  It really means a lot to me that you are so generous with your time and talents to help keep us "up and running".  I also want to thank Judy and Linda for the scrubbies they made and donated as an Auxiliary fund raiser. Much appreciated!  Don't forget this month's goings on.  We have our Auxiliary Christmas luncheon on Saturday, December 4, at 1:00pm.  It will be at "The Hearth" of Sugar Springs.  A $15.00 gift exchange is optional. Please sign up on the bulletin board.   The annual Children's party will be held on December 11th. PLEASE sign up so Santa will be prepared.  Also, for a Christmas project this year, I would ask anyone able to help, to please donate something parents would need for babies such as diapers, one-sizes, blankets, etc.  We can put them in the cart for the mission, and hopefully help ease the extra burden of holiday expenses for those suffering hardships right now.  As we enter this Holiday Season, remember we are People helping People.  God bless all of our Eagle families who have lost a loved one this year and will be spending their first Christmas without them, and don't forget to be thankful for all you've been blessed with, be it a steady job, a loving family, good health, or the gift of friendship.  Respect each other, help a stranger, share what you can, and appreciate what you have. Wishing everyone a safe and Merry Christmas, and a most wonderful New Year!!

God Bless and Secord Smiles,
Barbie Jozefowicz
Madam President

Please let us know if any members should be sent a card. Good job done by all that helped with the harvest Dinner. It was great.

HELP WANTED!!!!
Help is desperately needed to support our President’s Charity this year.
Ever wonder why the shopping cart is in the hallway between the social and meeting rooms? The Aerie & Auxiliary Presidents Charity is the Mission in Gladwin that assists needy families by providing items from food, socks, paper products (tp etc.) and personal hygiene items (soap, shampoo etc.) and Madam Auxiliary President, Barbie J. has designated her Xmas project as providing the Mission with much needed baby items. Gladwin County has a great need for this support so……
WAYS TO HELP!!!!
Watch for 10 for $10 offers; use your points at Glens, Rite Aid etc., manufacturers coupons work great and how about senior citizen discounts. Items such as shampoo, soap, toilet paper, linens, can goods and socks of all sizes are a necessity to all but high volume products handed out daily by the mission – food stamps only cover the bare necessities of food so the demand is great for these items. This month a special request is to donate baby items – diapers, baby wipes, powder, lotion, food, and blankets (Family Dollar has nice ones for only $4).
Eagles are “People Helping People” so the challenge is thrown down to all our Eagle members this year. Just drop your items in the basket in the hall! We guarantee free delivery!!

HARVEST DINNER AND BAKE SALE SUCCESS!!!!
The Harvest dinner turned out great!!! We sold out again. A special thanks to all the members that donated food and bake goods and the volunteers that spent so much time helping to prepare and serve the feast. GREAT JOB!!! We also held a raffle and 50/50. Thanks to all that participated and congrats to the winners.
